BYD is expanding internationally and, as it has much of its production capacity in China, is recruiting more than 9,000 workers in that country.

That's what the Jiemian News agency is doing, taking care of several areas to lack staff – from operators to managers. The jobs are at the component factory in Ebu and at the car construction plant in Xiaomo – which will receive more than half of all new employees hired.

It should be noted that bYD has been growing strongly in markets outside China, further driven by increased demand for electric and electrified cars. This year it wants to reach 1.5 million foreign sales, and by June it recorded 789,400 copies sold to grow 70 percent.

Already last year, it exceeded the million international sales of passenger cars and pick-ups, a growth that reached 145 percent.

While strengthening its operations in China, the builder is creating production capacities in other geographies. This year it will open the factory in Hungary, considering a second for Europe. It has also produced more than 100,000 new energy vehicles in Brazil, while in Thailand it produces five models.

"Crazy." China launches almost four new or renovated cars per day

The Chinese car market has a frenetic pace, with a rhythm of almost four new or renewed models launched per day in the first half of the year. “It’s crazy” and “brutal,” they say in BYD.
