Cchris Rock made a surprising confession about his financial situation. The American humorist revealed that Malaak Compton-Rock's divorce had a heavy weight in his pocket.
The artist, 61 years old, spoke to Variety magazine about his famous roles in the cinema and said he liked to make another film “Madagascar”, 14 years after the release of the third of this sequel.
“ It's probably the biggest movie I've ever been in. We've made three, I pray to God that we make one more. I was divorced, I no longer have the money of “Madagascar”. It’s time”, he said.
Chris Rock participated in these films alongside Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett Smith and David Schwimmer. These films have raised more than 2.2 billion dollars (about 1.89 billion euros) worldwide.
The millionaire divorce
Chris and Malaak split in 2014 and spent two years negotiating divorce figures.
“ After much reflection and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I decided to follow separate paths,” Malaak revealed in a statement at the time.
Malaak, who is also a comedian, and the daughters that the former couple has in common, Lola and Zahra, received about 40 million dollars (almost 35 million euros) in the 2016 divorce agreement.
Despite the great financial impact, Chris has a $60 million (almost €52 million) heritage, according to Celebrity Net Worth, due to his film roles, comedy tours and specials.
