The road traffic in the IP8/EN260 was stopped early today, near Baleizão, in the district of Beja, after a fire in a tanker truck carrying bagasse. Civil protection reported that the accident, which occurred at 4:10 am, did not cause victims, but the road remains closed due to fire.

A road traffic in the IP8/EN260 was interrupted at 06:20 a.m. near Baleizão in Beja district due to a fire in a tanker truck carrying bagasse, Lusa told the source of civil protection.
“ The accident, whose warning was given at 04:10, did not cause victims, but the road is interrupted due to the fire in the cistern ", indicated source of the Sub-Regional Command of the Lower Alentejo.
The fire in the truck took place in the Itinerary Main 8/National Route 260 at kilometer 16 near Baleizão (this section of the EN260 between Beja and Vila Verde de Fialho is integrated into the IP8 layout).
At 6:20 they were on site 16 operational, with the support of five vehicles.
