He was driving around with a fake motorcycle license plate in the Trafaria. You've been arrested

Um 25-year-old man was arrested by the Republican National Guard (GNR), last Friday, October 16, in Trafaria, in the municipality of Almada, for being suspected of the crime of document forgery.

Num notified, GNR explains that the arrest occurred following a road policing action carried out in Praça Aristides de Sousa Mendes.

At 7:06 p.m. last Friday, “the Guard’s military detected a motorcycle in circulation and conducted its interception and supervision.”.

In the course of the investigations, GNR found “that the motorcycle had a registration plate corresponding to another vehicle and did not coincide with the identifying elements of the motorcycle inspected”.

In view of the facts found, “the driver was arrested and constituted on suspicion of the crime of falsification of a document and was notified to attend the DIAP of Almada for further procedural steps”.

GNR seized the motorcycle, “staying in the order of its process for carrying out the steps deemed necessary for the full clarification of the facts”.

It should be noted that “the use of registration plates which do not correspond to the vehicle in which they are betting constitutes a conduct liable to criminal liability and compromises the correct identification of vehicles in service”.
