A National Road 257 (EN257) is cut to traffic in both directions, between Alvito and Viana do Alentejo, since about 5:20 p.m. today, due to the loss of a truck, revealed source of Civil Protection.
The source of the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Lower Alentejo indicated to the agency Lusa that the accident, for which the alert was given at 5:19 p.m., occurred at the kilometer 23.400 of EN257 between Alvito, in the district of Beja, and Viana do Alentejo, in the district of Évora.
The truck, which was loaded with bagasse, is crossing the road, forcing the road cut, and two people were assisted at the site of the sinister, it went ahead.
According to the source of GNR, there is no forecast for the resumption of circulation, since the vehicle must be removed and the road cleaned.
14 operations of the firefighters of Alvito, GNR and Infrastructures of Portugal, supported by seven vehicles, were mobilized.
