Como like this is rain in August? Summer days in the sun ask for comfort food, but the one that looks good at this time of year. This is the case with this halloumi chicken burger.
The recipe is from the BBC Goodfood page. Do you have everything you need? Follow the step by step:
Chicken burger with halloumi
Ingredients:
2 chicken boobs
1 tablespoon of oil
4 tablespoons of pyri sauce
Lemon juice
Burger breads
250g halloumi block cut into pieces
1⁄4 small sliced white cabbage
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
4 tablespoons of humus
Tzatziki or sour cream sauce
4 to 8 soft lettuce leaves
2 large red peppers roasted
Method of preparation:
1- Put the chicken breast between two leaves of vegetable paper and use a roll of dough to flatten them until they are about 1 cm thick. Cut each chicken breast into two equal parts.
2- If you are using a skillet, heat two pans in medium-high heat, one of which should contain oil. Fry the chicken in the pan greased for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until it is cooked completely. Season the chicken, reduce the fire, water with pepper sauce and half the lemon juice and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce reduces.
3- While the chicken cooks, you toast the bread. Cook the halloumi for about 10 minutes. Turn half the time to brown. Mix the cabbage with mayonnaise and the rest of the lemon juice.
4- Put the hummus on toasted bread, then cover with lettuce, chicken, halloumi and peppers. Water with a little more pepper sauce, spread the cabbage on top, season with pepper and finish with the other half of the bread. Serve with extra cabbage or a green salad.
