YEAH knowing that Elon Musk aims to transform humans into a multi-planetary species, seeking to boost expansion to other planets starting with the creation of a moon base and launch into the future the exploration of Mars. In addition, Musk also believes that robotics and artificial intelligence can be improving health care for everyone.
According to Musk, the combination of these two factors will make the “money becomes irrelevant” and that “the conventional currency is no longer important”.
The multimillion-dollar tycoon – who is also the richest person in the world with a wealth of $921 billion – has made these considerations in conversations with the author of his biography, Walter Isaacson, even noting that in the future the value should be measured in power or energy.
Account business Insider site that Isaacson was present in the podcast “The Builders”, where he also told that Musk stated that “there will be nothing humans can do that robots and artificial intelligence can’t do better”.
Elon Musk optimistic with arrival of robots with AI
In a July publication on social network X, Musk stated that the combination of robotics and artificial intelligence will allow people not to have to work to get money to live.
According to Musk, intelligent robots will be able to produce goods and offer services in such abundance and with such efficiency that the revenue coming will be sufficient for governments to pay what they call “universal high yield”.
Unlike the (most common) concept of universal basic income, this Musk proposal means that governments would have sufficient revenue to provide financial comfort to all citizens. As Business Insider recalls, Musk has said in the past that saving for reform could become “irrelevant” in the next 20 years thanks to the gains made by Artificial and Robotic Intelligence.
“Working will be optional”, says Musk in this publication on X.
Musk's prediction was entitled to a response from Michael Burry – an investor who became known to predict the 2008 financial crisis (and take advantage of it).
For Burry, the reality described by Musk does not seem likely, believing even that there may be strong agitations in civil society as more people are fired due to the implementation of robots equipped with Artificial Intelligence.
“False. First there will be a revolution”Burry wrote.
