Dthen the rumors that pointed in this sense, it seems that Dave Batista is really the name chosen to play Kratos in the television adaptation of the game franchise “God of War” of PlayStation consoles. The news was advanced by Variety magazine.
It is important to remember that Bautista was not the first name chosen for the role of protagonist. The name initially chosen was Ryan Hurst, with the actor best known as “Sons of Anarchy” and “The Odyssey” to have participated at the beginning of the recordings,
However, Hurst had an accident during filming and had to undergo surgery. If the production of the series were to wait for Hurst, the production could only be resumed in 2027, which led those responsible to choose another actor for the role.
It is worth remembering that “God of War” already has two guaranteed seasons on Prime Video and it is known that the story will be based on the game released in 2018 for PlayStation 4. The narrative consists of a journey by Kratos – accompanied by the son Atreus – to deposit the ashes of the woman who died.
It is now believed that filming of the series will resume somewhere over the coming weeks, but there is still no forecast for any first episode premiere. However, it is known that both seasons will be filmed simultaneously.
