Keven Middleton was talking to cancer patients and revealed what his first thought was as soon as he heard the news. The Princess of Wales said that her three children were her “first thought” after the diagnosis and also “the inspiration” to move on.

Kate, 44, went to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she received chemotherapy in 2024 for a surprise visit. William's wife spoke to 41-year-old Sam Suriakumar, diagnosed with a brain tumor six years ago and father of two daughters, five and three years old, and said to him: “It’s amazing how resilient we can be.”.

Sam confessed to the press that he enjoyed talking to the princess: “It was a fantastic experience. She's such a humble person. I felt that we were able to connect because of our journeys against cancer and because of our children. We talked about how our children also had to go through it and how they inspired us to keep going. We had a very pleasant conversation. I was very, very nervous, but she made me feel very welcome ", said the man.

“Her care and interest in hearing my story were very important to me. I forgot she was a princess and talked to her like any other cancer patient. We experienced similar situations when we received the diagnosis of what we were facing, the first things that came to our mind were our children and our family,” Sam added.

Kate, remember, announced that she had cancer through an exciting video in March 2024, a few weeks after her father-in-law, King Charles III, received a wave of support after sharing that she was suffering from the same disease.

Talking to 74-year-old Mike Collett, who went through treatment for head and neck cancer, said, “Cancer changes us a lot. It is not just about the physical changes the body undergoes, it raises many other questions. It's living life beyond that. Everything changes.”

“ Something as primitive as breathing becomes as precious. The psychological impact this could have, the vulnerability to something so essential. And the ability to communicate and share its history”, said the princess.
