Vítor Severino's team went through a cycle of four consecutive wins in the I League, but wasted the chance to overcome Sporting and Santa Clara and position themselves in third place. Paulo Moreira offered victory to Famalicão already in discounts.

O Arouca failed, this Friday, to overcome Sporting and Santa Clara in the Liga's classification table, and the consequent assault on the podium, being defeated in the visit to Famalicão (0-1), in the start of the 11th journey.
The team led by Vítor Severino sought the fifth consecutive victory since the arrival of Vasco Seabra's successor (who agreed to guide the Ave River), but did not leave the square in the trip to Vila Nova de Famalicão.
The match was always played at a low pace and even though both teams improved in the second half, the scorer only worked at the last minute of discounts.
Arouca was the one who was most interested in winning, but the Famalicão always had more ball and ended up winning in the compensation period.
Gil Dias, already close to the final whistle, scared Ignacio De Arruabarrena, but it was Paulo Moreira who made ‘streams’, marking the 90’+6 and making ‘blow’ the feast in Vila Nova de Famalicão.
With this result, the Famalicão wins the first home win in the championship and starts adding 13 points, jumping to the 10th place, with Alverca lurking.
In turn, Arouca gets the same 20 points, scoring the first defeat in the Severine era and interrupting the 100% victorious cycle that lasted four rounds.
The Arouquense group follows in fifth place, but you can see the Academic of Viseu steal his post already tomorrow, Saturday, if you win or tie in the visit to the National.
In the next round, Famalicão visits Benfica, while Arouca receives the Ave River.
