Felix da Costa finished 48,737 seconds from the winner, the British Taylor Barnard (DS Penske), while the Dutch Nyck de Vries (Mahindra) was second, 0.614 seconds, and the Swiss Edoardo Mortara (Mahindra) third, to 6,087.

Portuguese, who had been third in the Saturday race, entered the last race of the season already away from the fight for the title of pilots, but with the mission to help Jaguar defend the five points of advantage over Porsche in the team championship.

“The goal was one: to win the World Team Championship, and we achieved it. To do that, we had to end up in front of the Porsches. We knew we were going to have to make a very disruptive race”, explained the driver of Cascais, in the end.

Jaguar responded to Porsche's strategy, which again used the Swiss Nico Müller to delay opponents and protect the German Pascal Wehrlein, then leader of the World Championship.

“ They played a game I didn't like yesterday. They just started doing it again today, on the first lap, and that's when we decided to put our plan B into action. We played their game ", said the driver of Cascais.

Félix da Costa passed Müller on the fifth lap and ran in third position before assuming the role of delaying Wehrlein to allow the approach of his teammate, New Zealander Mitch Evans, who was still fighting for the title of pilots.

On the 26th lap, with Portuguese holding Wehrlein, Evans managed to overcome both of them and climb to fourth place. Felix da Costa then intensified the pressure on the German, who fell out of the pointy places.

“They have no right to say we did anything wrong. We only did what they did to us, but better, more and better”, said Portuguese.

Despite the work of the Jaguar duo, Evans failed to reach the victory he needed to win the title, finishing in fourth place, behind Barnard and the two Mahindra drivers.

The championship was eventually won by Wehrlein, although the German also finished off points, benefiting from the abandonment of the British Jake Dennis (Andretti), involved in an incident on the 31st round.

Wehrlein finished the season with 169 points, five more than Dennis and nine more than Evans, becoming two world champion and only the second driver to win two Formula E titles, after Frenchman Jean-Éric Vergne.

Félix da Costa finished the championship in the sixth place, with 128 points, after a season in which he won the races of Jeddah and Madrid and climbed several times to the podium.

“ I'm glad to bring this team World Cup home. It was a positive, competitive time in all circuits. We fought for ‘top-5’ and podiums in all circuits. Maybe it was the most competitive time I had in Formula E”, he considered.

The former world champion in 2019/20 regretted, however, the episodes that cost him points during the season.

“ Obviously, a lot of things have happened to us that have robbed us of many points, but this is the world of sport. Now it is to rest a week or two and grab the new Gen4 with all force, to put ourselves again in a position to fight for the World Championship next year ", concluded.

Barnard's victory, achieved with an overrun to De Vries in the last two laps of the end, made the British, at the age of 22 and 76 days, the youngest ever winner in Formula E.

The London race ended the season of 2025/26 and the era of the Gen3 single-places, which will be replaced by the new Gen4 in the next championship.
