A fesap’s expectation for the year 2027 is that the government will go “beyond” the increases foreseen in the multiannual agreement currently in force, in the light of “inflation growth, fuel [price] growth, housing [cost] growth and what is the increase in the basket of essential goods”, said the Secretary-General of Fesap today.

José Abraão spoke at a press conference in Lisbon to present the claim book for 2027 with contributions to the State Budget for 2027 (OE2027).

In this way, the structure affects the UGT proposes that the remuneration base in the Public Administration (some minimum wage in the State) rises to 1,050 euros next year and a minimum update of 6.5% or 95 euros for all workers.

“The government now has a good opportunity to increase the minimum wage, but also to increase the remuneration base of Public Administration (BRAP),” Joseph Abraham points out, highlighting the importance of a distance between BRAP and the guaranteed minimum remuneration.

This proposal is higher than that provided for in the current multiannual agreement, which provides for wage increases of 2.30%, with a minimum of EUR 60.52.

On the other hand, as last year, Fesap again demands that the food allowance be increased to EUR 10 per day, tax-free.

“ Nobody can eat with 6.15 euros. And I must even say that there are today services serving meals in some public services that even charge more than the 6,15 euros that people receive”, says the secretary-general of Fesap.

The new agreement, signed on 21 January between the Government, Fesap and STE, states that the meal allowance, which is currently EUR 6,15, is increased by 15 cents per year by 2029.
