O brazilian presidential candidate defeated, Flávio Bolsonaro, again questioned this Friday the legitimacy of the elections, classifying the results as “matematically impossible”, and accusing Lula da Silva of having won with “a goal with the hand”.

“There are many unexplained things in these elections, which mathematically it is impossible for them to have occurred in the real world, unless, as I said, there was some goal with the hand,” said the far-right politician in a live broadcast on his social networks.

Without presenting evidence of the alleged fraud in the second round of the elections of 25th, which he promised to explain “very soon”, Bolsonaro called for Congress to become a “trick” from which to resist to “stop or delay the great chaos that the current President of the Republic will establish”.

According to the 45-year-old senator, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will eventually be removed “before what many imagine” due to the “radical” economic measures he will take, among other factors that he did not specify.

Bolsonaro evaluates the current economic scenario as “much worse” than that experienced during the mandate of former President Dilma Rousseff, who ruled Brazil from 2011 to 2016, when she was deposed by Congress.

The opponent thanked the support of almost sixty million voters who supported him in the polls and did not rule out the power before the usual constitutional deadlines, alluding to a possible early departure from the re-elected president.

“ If necessary, I will be available to compete again with the Presidency of the Republic. And I am not talking about 2030, I am talking about before that”, he said.

During this Friday's speech, the senator, whose term ends next February, explained that he abandoned the country to the United States, along with his wife and two daughters, after having been notified of the ban on travelling abroad and the order to deliver the passports, both diplomatic and ordinary, a Brazilian and an Italian.

According to his report, the notification took place on Monday following the vote and at the end of a thirty-minute visit to his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, who is serving house arrest for orchestrating an attempt to coup after losing the elections against Lula in 2022.

“I looked at my father’s face and said to him: ‘The persecution began’,” said Flávio Bolsonaro.

For this reason, he said, he fled to “continue, at least, to have an active voice” from abroad, since, according to the former candidate, there is a “exceptional regime” in Brazil, with institutions “completely kidnapped”.

Lula da Silva was reelected with 52% of the votes, against 48% of the Liberal Party candidate (PL), a difference that translated into more than four million votes.

The leader of the Workers' Party (PT), who will rule over the next four years, led a historic recovery after being behind the far-right candidate by two million votes in the first round of the elections.

Flávio Bolsonaro did not accept the defeat, unlike the PL summit and his own vice president, Alfredo Gaspar, who have already done so.

Since the results were known, Bolsonaro asked for the annulment of the elections; then announced that he would denounce Lula's candidacy for alleged abuses of power; and later, from the United States, he published a letter in which he proclaimed himself the "true elected president of Brazil".

This letter, which later replaced it with a version in which it calls itself the “leader” of Brazil, raised the rejection of the party’s own allies, who claimed not to know or approve the missive.
