O announcement, made in the morning Le Monde today, corresponds to the first time that the government has established a budget to combat this violence.

If Parliament approves the proposal, these funds will allow the hiring of 300 magistrates, 700 researchers and 300 other professionals, such as nurses.

The money will also strengthen the funding of support associations for these victims and establish a system to identify and assess credits to combat these violence.

The announcement was made after Lyhanna's death, an 11-year-old girl whose body was found in June at the Department of Gers. The case aroused controversy and criticism about the institutions' response to complaints of sexual violence against minors, as the suspect of his death was the subject of complaints, but had never been arrested or questioned.

Lecornu said that the government will drive a response to this type of violence that includes prevention, police, justice, education, health and social services.

In the agenda are still decrees, scheduled for October, to strengthen the so-called women's houses and health, to create a national platform for coordination on violence in health and to introduce a questionnaire on sexual violence in the school curriculum to facilitate dialogue with minors about these situations.

Lecornu also wants fixed and multiannual funding for the associations supporting these victims and stressed the need for prevention through affective, relational and sexual education.
