O Brazilian President, Lula da Silva, today called “shameful” the fact that Flávio Bolsonaro left Brazil towards the United States and said that “citizen who sneaks out of his country, it is because he owes something”.

In comparison, the PT quoted himself, at the time of Lava Jet corruption charges, when he was arrested, and who had “sorry to leave the country”, but who surrendered to the Federal Police to prove his innocence.

“ I had many invitations to leave Brazil, many invitations to go to the embassy. And I decided to stay here in Brazil and decided to turn myself in to the Federal Police, because I wanted to expose my accusers and prove my innocence ", declared.

“ And I'm here, being re-elected for one more term on your own. That is why I say: who should not fear”, spoke to supporters in the external area of the Palácio da Alvorada (official residence) in Brasilia, on the occasion of the celebration of its 81 years.

“ I regret that he left Brazil, and that he did not stay here and prove that the accusations against him are not true ", completed by calling the act "shameful".

The exit, today, occurs one day after Flávio was subpoenaed by the Federal Police, by order of the Brazilian judge of the Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes, to deliver all passports that he has within 24 hours, which he did not do, besides the prohibition of leaving Brazil.

Moraes' decision is contained in the case in which Flávio and his friend, attorney Willer Tomaz, are investigated in the Supreme Court for money laundering, in an alleged scheme that would involve Tomaz companies and a betting platform.

Even on Monday, that is, the day before leaving the country, Flávio Bolsonaro published a video on social networks where he said he would never leave Brazil, and that he would deliver his passports to the police authorities.

“ I never thought about leaving the country. I will deliver my passports and I will defend myself from this freak, because it is an attempt to intimidate me, but nobody will shut me up ", declared in the publication.

Still in Alvorada, Lula said he would speak little, because he was hoarse, but still criticized the fact that his opponent defeated last Sunday, during the second round for the command of the Palácio do Planalto, not having recognized the result of the elections.

As an example, Lula cited all the elections he held, but he lost, and recognized in them all the result of the elections.

“I wonder what a guilty citizen has on his conscience who has just lost the elections and flees his country,” he said.

After singing the congratulations, blowing the candles of a big cake, Lula embraced supporters and then climbed on an electric trio mounted on the site that played MPB, Choro, Samba and Axé for the public.

The Brazilian president gave the speech alongside his deputy, Geraldo Alckmin, and his wives, Janja da Silva and Lu Alckmin.
