O Sporting received and beat, on Saturday night, the Moreirense (1-0), in play of the 11th journey of the I League. At the debut of Paulo Fonseca in the lion bank, Luis Suárez, author of the only (and beautiful) goal in Alvalade, who left again signs of mistrust.
The lions thus temporarily reduce the distance from rivals Benfica and FC Porto, which only come into action tomorrow, Sunday.
In turn, the Moreirense averba the fifth loss in the championship, despite the good replica, but remains safe in the 9th position of the qualifying table.

Sporting entered with an early start and at 14 minutes only the pole prevented the goal of Silas Andersen, one of Paulo Fonseca's bets at the Alvalade premiere.

Even before the break, Irankunda was very close to inaugurating the marker, but Dinis Pinto ‘replaced’ the goalkeeper André Ferreira and avoided, with the body, the Moreirense was at a disadvantage.
Sporting came back strong at the start of the second part and at 48 minutes Irankunda even rehearsed the celebration. The Australian put the ball at the bottom of Moreirense's goal, but João Gonçalves promptly cancelled Silas Andersen's irregular goal in a decision that would be confirmed by the VAR.
The visitors again balanced defensively and the clock floor began to provoke impatience in the stands of Alvalade, hearing the first whistles even before the first hour of play.
In this sense, Paulo Fonseca did not want to waste time and was already preparing to make a triple move, but saw Suárez sign a beautiful goal, at 61 minutes, that put Sporting in advantage. The Colombian advance reached the 13th goal of the season after appearing in the right corridor, pull the ball to the left foot and shoot hard and cross to the bottom of the goal to the guard of André Ferreira.
Despite the breath of relief and tranquillity motivated by the goal, the coach of the lions did not drop the plot and brought in Flávio Gonçalves, Rodrigo Zalazar and Geny Catamo to the places of Nestory Irankunda, Issa Doumbia and Luís Guilherme.
On the other side, Vasco Botelho da Costa tried to give something new to Moreirense, launching Rodrigo to Landerson's place, but Kaique came to order.
Paulo Fonseca moved again at 75 minutes, betting on the entrance of Fotis Ioannidis to render the exhausted Luis Suárez.
The canons have been trying to get closer and closer to the great Sporting area, accumulating some dangerous situations, but with some suffering to mix Sporting grabbed with nails and teeth to the minimum advantage to bless Paulo Fonseca's debut.
After the accounts, Sporting follows in third place, but now counts 24 points, being temporarily to one of Benfica and six of FC Porto leader. Down on the 9th post is Moreirense, with 14 points.
Game time: The goal of Suárez, at a time when supporters were already showing signs of dissatisfaction, was the antidote to avoid a new nightmare in Alvalade. The Colombian attempt has brought the necessary tranquility to the lions.
