A today's strike of public administration workers was at 4:00 p.m. to register, at national level, an 80% membership in health and 60% in education, said to the agency Lusa union source.
“Adherence to the strike is 80% in health”, affecting “the scheduled surgery service, external consultations and national analysis,” Lusa said the vice president of the National Union of Workers of Services and Entities with Public Purposes (STTS), on a balance sheet until 4:00 p.m.
In education, membership was 60%, Diogo Nina added.
According to a trade union representative, in the Local Health Units (ULS) the minimum services and treatments of Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Hemodialysis and Blood Gift services are being fulfilled.
In a previous review to Lusa at 09:00, STTS pointed to a 60% adherence to education and health on the continent and autonomous regions.
According to the union representative, there is still “a strike scheduled for November 30 and December 02”, which will be convened through the federation representing the union, the National Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Public Administration and Entities with Public Purposes (Fesinap).
The federation has been demanding to be received by the government to present its proposals and to integrate the usual negotiations between the executive and the representatives of the Public Administration (STE, Fesap and Common Front).
Public administration workers today are carrying out a 24-hour strike in a protest called by the STTS.
The strike began at 00:00 today and lasted until 23:59, covering the central, regional and local administration.
Among the main demands of this union is “the specific institution of the Board of Public Administration Meal through negotiation in Collective Agreement of Public Employer (ACEP), for the daily value of 10.20 euros, tax-free”.
The STTS also advocates a review of the Integrated Management and Performance Assessment System in Public Administration (SIADAP), “to maintain the points obtained in term contracts and in career or category change”, a risk allowance for the career of Auxiliary Health Technician.
The Union also requires the revision of the Collective Agreement applicable to public business entities and the hiring of staff.
The Multiannual Agreement on the Valuation of Public Administration Workers, signed between Government, Fesap and STE, provides for wage increases of 2.30%, with a minimum of EUR 60.52 in 2027.
To confirm the achievement of the target foreseen in the agreement, the remuneration base for public administration will rise from the current EUR 934.99 to EUR 995.51 in 2027.
The agreement also provides that the meal allowance, currently EUR 6,15, will be increased by 15 cents per year by 2029.
