There's really a crisis in Sp. Braga. Gil Vicente wins with a date at the quarry

Vtough trip to Carlos Vicens. Sp. Braga suffered, this Monday, a new defeat, this time at the reception to Gil Vicente (1-2), in play in delay of the 2nd journey of the I League. Armorists even went to the break in advantage, but allowed a twist in the second 45 minutes, raising to four consecutive games without winning.

The first goal of the night appeared shortly after half an hour. In a bid of insistence of Sp. Braga, the ball left to the feet of Pau Victor, who managed to break the null and put Sp. Braga in advantage. 

Gil Vicente responded right after the break, with Walace France restoring equality at 49 minutes in the quarry. 

The goal left Sp. Braga more pressed and the team of Carlos Vicens quickly tried to return to the lead of the marker, but without great effectiveness when aiming the goal to the guard of Lucão. 

On the contrary, Gil was much more lethal, having reached the second goal in a lucky-filled bid. Tidjany Touré led the ball from the left flank, risked the shot, the ball swerved in a counter defense, but Bernardo Fontes managed to stretch out and move the ball... onto Diogo Travassos (72′), who unintentionally introduced the ball at the bottom of the goal itself. 

The disadvantage left Sp. Braga even more disoriented in the match and neither the weapons launched by Carlos Vicens – such as Huseinbasic, Fran Navarro or Tiknaz – reversed the course of events. 

At the same time, the white handkerchiefs began to appear on the Pedreira stands, in a clear sign that the fans are increasingly frustrated with the current moment of the minhota team. 

Gil, on his turn, was always very comfortable, even though he had no control over the possession of the ball, and held on, with nails and teeth, to triumph outside doors. Still, in the period of discounts, Pau Victor stood on the edge of the draw, hitting the pole, and Luca signed an impossible defense even upon the final whistle. 

With this result, Gil Vicente added the fourth victory on eight journeys, jumping to sixth place with 14 points shrunk. In turn, Sp. Braga raises to three consecutive games without winning in the I League – four in all competitions – and continues in the ninth rank, with 11 points. 

In the next round, Gil will receive FC Porto, while Braga will have to move to the stronghold of the National, which is also experiencing a bad time in the season. 

New test fire on Thursday 

Sp. Braga will have to recover his physical and... confidence levels quickly. The armory club already receives on Thursday the Belgians of the Gent, at the match of the 3rd round of the League's single league phase, and must give a categorical response after the heavy defeat suffered in the previous round, before Copenhagen (0-3).
