Olivia Ortiz is, confesses, a “in love with technology” and did not miss the presentation of the new ASUS laptop Zenbook 14, on 22 October, at Oeiras Park, in Oeiras.
At the time, the creator of digital content was talking to the News to Minutes and began by speaking precisely of its connection to the technological branch, saying that “since it is known that it is a nerd a little disguised”.
“ I know people don't have that impression of me, but I've always been very passionate about technology, about gambling. By the way, when I start to create my digital footprint, it comes to these passions of mine in video editing, photography... Now I integrate the software of Artificial Intelligence in my day and also in my work ", told.
In fact, he then recalled, “when he decided to create the YouTube channel he had the support of Asus to assemble his home office, a professional video editing desktop with multi-screens and material to be able to edit his videos, which at the time were too heavy, 4K.” “Now things have also evolved.”

I integrate Artificial Intelligence into everything in my day-to-day, either in the personal or professional context
How have you been dealing with these times when more and more Artificial Intelligence (IA) is present?
I integrate Artificial Intelligence into everything in my day-to-day, personal or professional scope. I think it is a very useful tool and, on the other hand, it also draws my attention very much to what we really need to give importance to.
If we look back a little bit, I finished my degree in 2009 and then you'd have a successful, well-paid career and all, if you mastered certain skills, like software programming. And these functions were quickly supplied by artificial intelligence software.
Then there is another side, which will be the professional future, those professions that were not so appreciable a few years ago and which will now be. It's the traditional market, seamstress, plumber, electrician. It's super hard to get someone you can trust, and fewer and fewer people can do it.
These are professions that will scale a lot in the coming years and be more desired. Because you won't be able to replace emotion. You can find comfort, even there are so many things like ChatGPT that works as a psychologist for a lot of people, or the AI Boyfriends who are trying to give some comfort, but will not be able to replace – even if you have robots and everything – touch, emotion, friendship..
I think with the digital, with the online shopping, people will miss going to the traditional market, smelling of fruit, touching things.
You feel like there's gonna be this change? Why?
I think it's about desire, what we need most. Mental health is a subject on which there is more and more information, there is more awareness about this type of subject, and instead of being isolated more with technology all around us, we will have this search, this desire to surround ourselves with people.
I can work a day longer than 10, 12, 14, 18 hours, it's already happened, but it also gives me the freedom to pack and go 3, 4 days out on the eve, without having to plan with months away
Having already had a strong presence on social networks and that has been building over these years, how was this change of course professional, since it began with a more focused presence on television?
From very early on, I woke up to communication on social networks and the digital world. I always thought it was a space that had a lot of growth and where it could be things that I wanted to be. When you work for an entity or an institution that directs your professional path, you end up being more limited. In digital I had and felt from very early that freedom to explore other areas, other sectors that I wanted to explore and discover myself as well. I've always lived very well with it.
One of the great privileges of my current profession is that I create my own routine and now with Artificial Intelligence it's so easy to organize the agenda and have your day back to back, and try to better manage your time... But beyond the privilege it is, it's the time and flexibility you have.
With my work on my own, at my home office, I can have the days off as long as I'm disciplined to work the hours that are needed.
I can work a day more than 10, 12, 14, 18 hours, it's happened, because I'm editing and that creative wave, and I'll go to bed at 8 in the morning, if I have to do a whole thing, but it also gives me the freedom to pack and go 3, 4 days out on the eve, without having to plan months away, take vacation days... That's the big advantage. The great privilege I have is this flexibility and time.
I began to like my digital presence more, until suddenly I occupied the F100% and decided to get off television
But was being more present in digital a choice of yours or a change imposed by the lack of other opportunities?
I used to say a lot on television – when I ended up exploring several pillars, I was in fiction, entertainment, information – that I had plans, because I was a Physiotherapy graduate, and life was choosing things for me and I was, in a way, embracing these opportunities. I feel it on the fingerprint too. The first steps I take on the fingerprint was by chance, because I just did some things, did some fingerprints of my video trips for me, to save, because I had a phase of my life where I didn't take pictures or anything.
With the separation of my parents, and in a different financial situation, I only bought the first camera on my first salary – when I entered the labor market. I had a phase in my life where I didn't have pictures, so I felt this urgency to take pictures of everything. I started making videos of my travels, and when I was getting people at home, I would show them the videos, but one professional zero thing, I wouldn't talk or anything, just photos and video. The feedback was good and I was told I should put it on YouTube.
The first ones were in play, then I started to realize they had views, people liked to see. I started being more demanding to myself, working with another kind of quality, better material... And at first there was also the desire to do things that I was not doing on television to show that I could do more, and that I had other abilities that were not being entrusted to me, and at some point the roles reversed. I started to like my digital presence better, until suddenly I got 100% busy and decided to get off television.
My life revolves around digital satellites. Obviously, I keep presenting events and embracing acting projects because I like and miss them, but 100% is the digital world. I don't make predictions because I'm Aquarius. If I ever feel like something different, I change my life completely again, and I'm super happy like that.
