The good news of iOS 27 is that the update will be received by all iPhones that were already compatible with the previous version of the operating system. On the other hand, the main novelty will not be available in the European Union in the early days.

Conforme planned by Apple, iPhone users will have to make this Monday, September 14th, a new update to the mobile operating system.
The latest update is named iOS 27 and will be available for all compatible models 18:00 ( Lisbon time). Fortunately, it seems that none of the iPhones will be left out and according to their own Apple, all iOS 26-compatible models can also receive iOS 27.
With regard to news, the new generation of the Siri digital assistant equipped with Artificial Intelligence – called Siri AI – will be a new way to interact with your iPhone. Siri AI will behave more similar to ChatGPT and can answer any question based on information that is stored on the iPhone.
Unfortunately, who lives in the European Union you'll have to have a little more patience since Siri AI will not be available with the arrival of iOS 27. Remember that Apple and European regulators are still struggling due to the Digital Markets Act and it is possible that Siri AI will only be launched somewhere for the next few months.
However, there are other good reasons to update your iPhone with iOS 27. The new version of the operating system allows you to have a more granular control of the Liquid Glass interface, there are performance gains and efficiency, greater security, the possibility of using two iPhones with the same number (called iPhone Handoff) and also setting time limits for location sharing.
Remember that Apple usually sends a notification to your iPhone to warn users that there is a new update to do. However, if you do not receive this update, you can always go to iPhone Settings and access the process manually.
