Polish training had quality in spaces: “Benfica was a team that would not get into stress, but the fans wanted the goal. It all went down in the first five minutes. We had to pull ourselves together. In spaces I felt we had quality, but it wasn’t enough.”
Benfica was nervous about the sustained goal: “Of course, with 2-1 we are alive in the game. This felt in Benfica and the fans a little nervous. But they, as a great team, managed to control the game.”
Benfica candidate in the Europe League: “Benfica is definitely a candidate in the Europa League. It's a completely transformed team from last year to this year. You can see the trust in the players. Even when the team was running it felt that they were superior to us.”
