Chamusca player assaulted in INATEL game is already home

O player Rui Silha, assaulted on Sunday in front of UD Malaqueija, at a meeting of the INATEL championship, is already at home and will be on surveillance for 48 hours, Lusa told today the president of Chamusca.

Saidy Machado revealed that the captain of Chamusca “is already at home and has nothing fractured”, after being transported to the hospital after the occurrence, but that he will have to be under surveillance for 48 hours, although the injury is not “so severe” as was feared.

The president of Chamusca recalls that Rui Shellah suffered a first assault, which caused him to fall, and, on the ground, protected his head with his arms, preventing the kicks from hitting him more seriously, although he was left with mazelas in his arms.

Saidy Machado lamented that this incident happened in a meeting between two teams that have “a good relationship”, revealing that GNR took over the occurrence and expecting some action. Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sport (APCVD).

On Sunday, on its social networks, Chamusca condemned “the cowardly act of the Sports Union goalkeeper Malachejo, who brutally assaulted our captain with several kicks in the head when he was lying on the ground”.

“ Violence does not take place in sport and is not justified in any situation. Football moves crowds and generations. On a beautiful football afternoon, with a beautiful human frame, this is another stain on football. We, the Sports Union of the Chamusca, do not review these behaviors and we will fight to the last instances to defend our own and our image”, reads.

The UD Malachejo reports that several players had physical consequences during the altercation between the two teams, and that its captain, “a health professional, lay down on the fallen athlete in order to help him and protect him from the various aggressions, including the Chamusca team, having put his physical integrity [at risk] and having been kicked in the back and head”.

“ The situation worsened with the entry of supporters of the house team in the playing field, creating an environment of insecurity that led the delegate of our team to request the arbitration team to close the meeting and the intervention of the authorities. In this sense, we want to recognize the position of the arbitration team and thank GNR for its intervention, which allowed ensuring the safe exit of our athletes, technical team and about 15 supporters, among whom were older people and a one-year-old baby,” the club said.

UD Malachejo also pointed out that during the assistance to the captain of Chamusca, elements of his technical team, namely the coach and masseuse, “were present and followed the situation, demonstrating that, even in the most difficult moments, respect for human integrity must prevail”.

In the same statement, AD Malachejo states that its goalkeeper “contains all the charges charged to him”, with the club saying it is available to collaborate with competent entities.
