Samsung plans to launch six folding phones in 2027

New rumors circulating across social media indicate that Samsung plans to launch six folding mobile phones on the market, with four of them being new versions of models already available.

Othe latest indicators point out that Apple has every reason to be satisfied with the launch of iPhone Duo, the company's first folding phone that has been released for October 23rd.

 

Samsung, with more experience in this type of device, intends to take advantage of this moment of enthusiasm with the category of foldables and, according to recent rumors, plans to launch six models in 2027.

The information was advanced by TheGalox on social network X, which states that in addition to new versions of existing foldables – such as Galaxy Z Flip9, Galaxy Z Fold9, Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra and Galaxy Z TriFold2 – Samsung also plans to launch Galaxy Z Fold9 Pro and Galaxy Z Slide.

Of the aforementioned models, it is natural that we see new generations of Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Fold and also Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, with the new version of Galaxy Z TriFold being undoubtedly the most exciting of this batch. It is good to remember that the original Galaxy Z TriFold was available only for a few months, with Samsung fans certainly being satisfied with the possibility of a new generation.

As for Galaxy Z Fold9 Pro, it is believed that this model will be an improved version of Galaxy Z Fold9 – the successor of the well-received Galaxy Z Fold8, which introduced this design similar to a passport that was also adopted by Apple with the iPhone Duo.

Samsung considers increasing prices of Galaxy S27 in 2027

A South Korean publication states that Samsung plans to raise the prices of new Galaxy S27 mobile phones, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2027. The price increase is associated with the scarcity of memory components.

Finally, Galaxy Z Slide should be Samsung's first foldable mobile phone with enrollable screen. Rumor has it that this phone has a screen that can stretch out and thus offer users a larger panel according to their needs.

It's too early to know what plans Samsung has for its folding catalogue for next year but for now, everything indicates that the folding market is about to grow substantially.
