Athe length of about 18 hours, a Lancia Ypsilon completed almost 800 km outside of Paris. The car 100 percent electric only needed a battery charge to complete the mission.
The car made over 22 laps to the Paris road ring, no stops. Started the experiment with 100 percent charge and it ended with two percent remaining, making an average consumption of 6.2 kWh per 100 kilometers.
Certified with 425 km of autonomy WLTP, the model of the historical Italian brand completed this experience conducted in Eco mode and in “D”, to maximize energy recovery. It has a nickel-manganese-cobalt battery with 51 kWh capacity, with the electric motor debiting up to 156 hp of power and 260 Nom of binary. The weight in running order is 1,486 kg.
According to a statement, the electric Lancia Ypsilon becomes the most efficient car with a record on the Paris road ring. Before, the best record had been 7.2 kWh/100 km.
Despite the interior and exterior design to evoke the Italian heritage of the brand, the driving set of the model was designed in France by Emotors (a joint venture between Stellantis and Leroy-Someer).
