A Lazio consolidated today the leadership in the Italian Football League, winning 2-1 at the reception to Cagliari, on the 10th race journey, in what is the best start ever of the Romans.

With nine victories and only one draw, Gennaro Gattuso's commandos already have 28 points and the isolated leadership, after the Inter's ' trip' in the milanese derby, on Friday, beaten by 3-1 by AC Milan.

The Portuguese Nuno Tavares (replaced at 55 minutes) returned to be an essential element in the defense of the ‘biancocelesti’, while Diogo Leite was an alternate used (entered at 76 minutes) in the game played in the Olympic of Rome.

Like the last games, the benches were poorly composed, with many ultras and tiffosi in open war with the owner and president of the club, which censor the low investment in the team.

In the first part the Cagliari still "complicated" the life of the Romans having reached the goal at 21 minutes, through the Angolan Mbala Nzola. But Lazio managed to recover, with goals from Gustav Isaksen (36) and Andrea Pinamonti (83).

Cagliari ended up down to 10, with the expulsion of Adam Obert, by accumulation of yellows, already happening at 90+1 minutes.

Lazio, who has not been a champion since 2000, has gained new breath with the leadership now isolated, with 28 points against 25 of Inter. Third follows Rome, by Rodrigo Mora, with 24 (won by 5-2 in Udine, on Saturday).

In fourth in the ranking, with 23 points, follows the Como, great surprise of last year's championship, which today beat Venice by 1-0.

O Como imposed with the great penalty pointed by the French Lucas da Cunha, at 43 minutes.

Also today, Frosinone won 2-0 in reception to Torino (with Daniel Bragança in the team), consolidating sixth place, with 20 points.

The goals only took place in the second part: Algerian Fares Ghedjemis scored at 48 minutes and Giacomo Calo expanded to 90+3.

The journey continues today, with the games Lecce-Génova and Juventus-Napoles.
