The Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro, said today that unlike the UGT “there are those who are in the same trade union business and are against everything” and not intending to “participate in any change”.

O ruler spoke at the UGT Conference “Work Voice Summit” under the motto “The public media service at the center of democracy”, in Lisbon, where he added that there is another union structure other than the UGT that prefers “to always keep the talk of immobilism”.
“Many less are those who feel that everything should be the same, although there are other UGT competitors who prefer to always keep the talk of immobilism”he did.
“ Everything was as good as it was before, but you are also not satisfied with anything you have.”, said the minister without ever mentioning CGTP, the other trade union central in Portugal.
Leitão Amaro said, referring then to the UGT, that this “often showed the country what it is to be a representative of the workers and be available, also for the benefit of the workers themselves, to be part of the change”.
