A lithuanian diplomacy denounced, in particular, lethal bombings against trains, educational centres and shelters, warning that such actions constitute “war crimes”.
“Russia must put an end to its aggression and report,” the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a brief statement released on social media, reaffirming its rejection by Russian military operations against civilian targets in Ukrainian territory.
The announcement comes after the authorities of Lithuania — an ally of Ukraine bordering the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad and Belarus — questioned Russia's interest in peace at the end of last week, following recent attacks by dozens of civilian victims.
Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine on 24 February 2022, after annexing the Crimean peninsula in 2014.
