Nthe closure of the ‘rentrée’ politico do Livre, entitled “Os Setembristas”, in Customs of Porto, Isabel Mendes Lopes again accused the PSD/CDS-PP government of trying to limit and empty the work of deputies in the budgetary process by stating that there is little room to introduce amendments to the proposal that the executive will present to parliament.
“The Free rejects this conditioning that the Government wants to impose on the Assembly of the Republic and we will make proposals for the State Budget of 2027”, said the parliamentary leader.
Among the proposals that the party intends to put forward in the context of the budgetary discussion are some already failed in the past, but on which the Free will insist, such as the transformation of the Green Rail Pass into a “National Mobility Pass”, that is, a single transport title “that reaches the whole territory”.
The strengthening of the family allowance and the guarantee for childhood will be another of the proposals, as well as the strengthening of the programme to combat energy poverty “3 C – Home, Comfort and Climate” and the creation of a “social inheritance”, a “half-foot” of about 5,000 euros that the party wants to assign to all babies born in the country, accessible at 18.
Before, in an intervention before the audience, spokesman Jorge Pinto had also advanced that Livre intends to present a proposal to create a public home network in the country.
In an intervention of about half an hour, Isabel Mendes Lopes also listed other proposals defended by the party, which can be discussed in the budgetary process or outside of it, as is the case with the regulation of the online game, which Livre will take back to parliament next week.
