O Banco Montepio achieved a net profit of EUR 92.5 million by September, plus 7.1% compared to the same period of 2025, a result that says it was impacted by the evolution of commercial activity and financial soundness.
In a statement, the bank reported that the banking product increased to EUR 358.8 million (+6.8%), supported by the growth of the financial margin, which amounted to EUR 260.2 million (+4.4%), of the net commissions, which reached EUR 105.0 million (+6.8%), and by the favourable development of the results of financial operations.
In the period under review, customer credit increased by 12.2% to EUR 14.3 billion, while deposits rose by a further EUR 16.8 billion, an annual increase of 6.6%.
