A perez Hilton's mother Teresita Lavender, 72 years old, filed a request for temporary custody of the three grandchildren, days after the content creator was hospitalized due to mental health problems, namely an act of self-mutilation during a live broadcast on TikTok.
According to People magazine, the request was made by Lavender on August 7, three days after the incident with her son at the Miami Family Court.
It was on August 4 that the 48-year-old blogger was hospitalized after making a live broadcast from his home in Miami, where he appeared covered in blood after apparently self-mutilating himself. Local authorities were called to the scene after receiving alerts from Internet users who were monitoring everything online and this was admitted to the hospital.
Hilton’s family later reported that it had suffered “a significant loss of blood” and “additional injuries” during the incident and that it needed to undergo surgery, also advancing that treatment and recovery would be “a long process” and that its state was “severe but stable”.
Perez Hilton, remember, is Mario's father, 13 years old, Mia's, 11, and Mayte's, eight years old, surrogate fruit. The children were home shortly before the incident and “run away”.
“ A few minutes before the directing incident, Perez's children, niece and sister were inside the house. When it became clear that he was going through a serious mental health crisis and self-mutilating, they fled immediately to protect children from seeing any trauma,”, you could read it in a press release.
“Our top priority now is to help children begin to recover from what they have lived. An important part of this process is to allow them to return home safely and start rebuilding a sense of safety and normality”, i also told the family.
