Na statement issued on the day of the three years of Hamas’ attack on Israeli territory — in which 251 people were also abducted — Hezbollah added that despite Israel’s retaliation war in Gaza, the country failed to “eliminate Hamas.”.
In this context, for the Shia militia, after three years, Israel “failed” in resolving the conflict in Gaza in which 74,000 people died, according to Hamas.
“ After three years of war in Gaza, when the world was flooded with news and images of the brutality and Zionist and American barbarism — together with Western allies — there has not yet been a resolution and its political and legal future” of the enclave.
“The enemy [Israel] could not eliminate Hamas, the factions of resistance or the people of Gaza,” he added.
Hezbollah also highlighted international mobilizations to support the Palestinians and denounced what he said was “hypocrisy of the international community”.
The Lebanese Shiite group funded by Iran also stated that the conflict will continue to have consequences for the entire Middle East and international security until the rights of the Palestinians are recognised.
The Hezbollah statement was released the day after the leader, Naim Qassem, said that the movement will continue to be “resistance” in Lebanon as long as Israeli “aggression” persists.
Israel today marks at various points in the country the three years of Hamas’ unprecedented attack on October 7, 2023.
Ceremonies are planned throughout the day to honor the victims of the attack that resulted in the death of 1,221 people, according to data collected by the France Presse Agency.
