Without going into details, Mitsubishi Motors President and Operations Director Keisuke Kishiura said during the presentation: “In the future, with the new Pajero leading the range, we'll expand the family Pajero to include a compact SUV and a small SUV“.
In the same presentation, two models covered by cloth were seen in an image next to the model now revealed – which seem to follow a similar profile, but with considerably smaller dimensions. It has not been specified when these variants may be known.
Already in a statement, the same person responsible commented: “As our flagship model, you will lead not only the following Pajero series, but the entire Mitsubishi Motors range.”.
It should be noted that the new Pajero now revealed will be produced in Thailand and will begin by being sold in that Asian country. Plans undergo a gradual global expansion over 2027, reaching over a hundred countries.
This model has a turbocharged 2.4 litre diesel engine with 204 hp power and 408 torque Nm, accompanied by an automatic eight-speed transmission. There are seven driving modes for various terrains and contexts, such as four traction modes (three full traction and one rear traction).
