Sin more detail, the statement released on the musician's official website indicates that William Orbit died at home on July 23rd.
Born in London in 1956, William Orbit (in the image above with Pharrell in 2012) leaves a career in electronic music awarded four Grammys, which gained international projection from the production of the album “Ray of Light” (1997), essential for a change of sound in Madonna’s path.
With American artist William Orbit returned to work for the album “Music” (2000), co-wrote the song “Beautiful Stranger”, and also co-produced several themes from the album “MDNA” (2012).
“I will always love this woman. Honestly. She made my career,” William Orbit said earlier this year, quoted today by The Guardian.
Prior to this collaboration, in the 1980s and 1990s William Orbit was part of the Torch Song and Bassomatic and edited a series of electronic albums, including several volumes titled “Strange Charge”.
Orbit became one of the most popular electronic music producers, producing albums and songs for Britney Spears, Robbie Williams, Melanie C, Katie Melua, No Doubt and U2.
For the Blurs, William Orbit produced the album “13” (1999), which is also seen as an act of reinvention of the sound of the British group.
One of William Orbit's latest performances took place last March in London, and was announced as an opportunity to go through “five decades of successes.”.
