Daniel Oliveira has been interviewing players of the national team and next Saturday, June 27, the conversation will be with Ruben Neves.
In a post that the host made on Instagram to promote the next program we can watch a video of an excerpt from the interview with the player of the national selection.
“It was very difficult. The day after the news, for me, is the hardest day of my life. The most important aspect for me to be able to play was wanting to play for Diogo first, and then knowing that Deborah was there.”, started by reminding the player when remembering the friend.
“ I'll talk to him, still. That few people know. We have a group at WhatsApp with Ruth and Diogo, and they're still there and we're still talking there. Whenever something special happens, I have the conversations archived in my WhatsApp to keep sending him messages,”, she still shared.
To remember that Diogo Jota died early on July 3, 2025, days after having tied the knot with Ruth Cardoso. I was 28 at the time.
The football player followed in a car with his brother, also a football player André Silva, who was 25 years old and was the other fatal victim of the accident both suffered in Spain.
Diogo Jota and Ruthe Cardoso have in common three children, Dinis, Duarte and a girl, who in November 2025 completed the first year of life.
