The Portuguese national team set out for the World Cup final of under-19 skate hockey, winning Italy in the penaltis for 1-0, after a 3-3 draw in the extension.

A portuguese selection came to the final of the World Championship under-19 of hockey in skates, by overcoming Italy in the major penalties (1-0), after a 3-3 draw at the end of the extension.
At the COP Arena in Luque, Paraguay, Samuel Araújo converted the only major penalty of the tiebreaker, in which João Antunes defended three shots and the Italians failed the five attempts.
Portugal will discuss the title with Spain, which won Argentina by 3-2 in the other half-final, at a meeting scheduled for today, at 8:45, Lisbon time.
The team guided by Vasco Vaz reached the break in advantage, thanks to a goal of Tomás Almeida, at nine minutes, and expanded by Martim Nunes, free direct, at eight minutes of the second part.
Elia Cardella reduced three minutes later, in numerical superiority, and Jacopo Reniero restored equality at the last minute of regulatory time, leading the meeting for extension.
João Maria Gatinho again put Portugal in front, at three minutes of the second half of the extra time, but Reniero bisou at the last minute, forcing the tiebreaker for great penalties.
The Portuguese team had guaranteed their presence in the semi-finals by winning Switzerland by 6-2, on Thursday, in the final rooms of the competition.
