Cerca of 30 judicial officers concentrated today in front of the Assembly of the Republic, in Lisbon, to show discontent with the absence in the State Budget (OE) for 2027 measures that value these professionals.
The protest, convened by the Judicial Employees Union (SFJ), began at 2:00 p.m., scheduled for the beginning of the hearing in the parliament of the Minister of Justice, Rita Alarcão Júdice, in the context of the assessment in the specialty of the OE proposal for next year.
“ We are here to show our indignation at the lack of budgetary content for our career, which has been waiting for appreciation for over 20 years”, said the president of SFJ.
Among other things, Regina de Almeida Soares highlighted the absence of the OE of the number of judicial officials who will enter the courts next year, considering that this is “a very big failure” in the face of the current shortage of 2,000 judicial officers.
The SFJ also wanted a timetable for the end of the review of the status of the judicial officers, which began about two and a half years ago, since its implementation has implications for the state accounts, stressed the trade union leader.
In the concentration, which should last until the end of the parliamentary hearing of the Minister of Justice, representatives of various political parties attended.
