O joão Mota is the new coach of Al Faisaly, Jordan's most successful club, returning to a league that has already won twice, by rival Al Hussein, announced Amman's club today.
João Mota left Al Yarmouk after 11 games as coach of the Kuwait League team to take over the technical command of Al Faisaly, which holds 35 Jordanian champion titles, the last reached in 2022, and ranks second in the 2026/27 championship, to the point of leader Al Ramtha, but with less one game played.
The 60-year-old Portuguese coach returns to a country where he has already won two national titles, both in Al Hussein in 2023 and 2025 (the last remaining as a coach until three days of the end), and has won the Jordan Super Cup in 2025.
