A programming of the 49th edition of the International Festival of Music of Paços de Brandão (FIMUV), in Santa Maria da Feira, in the district of Aveiro, starts in the Auditorium of CiRAC, where will be presented the ‘showcase’ “FIMUV around the World”, and extends for almost two months, with concerts, recitals, cinema and other proposals in various areas of the county, announced today the organization, in a statement.
One of the highlights of the program is the Lyric Gala, scheduled for 13 September at 5:30 pm in Europarque, which will feature the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ukrainian soprano Olga Kulchynska, known for its international career on opera stages.
In October, the program includes a concert by the Musicians of the Tagus, “Avec Douceur”, dedicated to ancient music, in the Church of Mercy, and cello and piano recitals, on 03 and 04, as well as a recital with award-winning young musicians, on 14.
The international quartet Salut Salon performs on October 17, at the Cineteatro António Lamoso, with the show “Heimat – Heaven We Bring Within Us”, followed by a piano recital with the young Italian Antonio Pavan, while on the 25th Sofia Escobar and Ricardo Afonso join the Orchestra 3eFes, in Europarque, for “Broadway & Cinema in Concert”.
This year's edition ends on October 31, also at Europarque, with the presentation of Puccini's opera "Turandot", by the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, in partnership with Operafest.
