A Republican National Guard (GNR) will intensify from today and until Sunday patrol and surveillance on roads with the highest traffic on the continent in the framework of operation “All Saints” 2026.
The operation aims to reduce the sinisterity, ensure the flow of traffic and support all road users, when it marks the day of “All Saints”, which traditionally leads people to visit the cemeteries.
In the framework of the operation, the GNR “will develop a coordinated action of general policing, combating crime, patrolling and road surveillance, with a view to ensuring that travel takes place safely and contributes to the reduction of road accidents.”.
GNR states in a statement that a high intensity of road traffic is planned during the operation period and therefore recommends prudent driving to drivers.
In this sense, the Guard calls on drivers to comply with the traffic rules, especially with regard to overshooting, change of direction, reversal of the direction of gait, compromise of passage and safety distance.
It also advises the correct use of the safety belt and child restraint systems, to adjust speed to the type of road and traffic conditions, not to use the mobile phone while driving and not to drink alcohol, nor to consume psychotropic substances before or during driving.
