O yes to the dismissal received 2,279 votes (74.58%) against 765 votes in no (25.03%), and there were seven blank votes and five null votes.
The Extraordinary General Assembly emerged following a request made by a group of associates, who claimed to lose confidence in Rui Abreu's management.
The fall of the management led to the appointment of a Provisional Management Commission, which will remain in office until the inauguration of the new management.
Pedro Andrade, who has already expressed a desire to run for president of the club, presented the only list to this provisional committee.
Rui Abreu took over the presidency of Paços de Ferreira in March 2025, but the descent of the football team into League 3 and the increase of debts left the club in a weakened position in negotiations with the shareholders of SAD, meanwhile constituted, in a process that generated contestation and growing protests and that eventually caused internal divisions.
