A manchester United's sports results crisis this Saturday met a new chapter, with the defeat suffered in the trip to Stamford Bridge, before Chelsea, by 2-0, which expanded to nine the number of consecutive matches in which it was not able to win a single victory in all competitions.

Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer (the latter, in the conversion of a great penalty, following an elbow from Lisandro Martínez to Wesley Fofana, who earned him the second yellow card and its red) scored the goals who decided to fight the ninth Premier League journey and left Michael Carrick in an even more delicate situation.

According to early information, already this Sunday, by the US portal The Athletic, at the moment, the resignation of the coach is seen by the structure of red devils as a mere matter of time, and should occur at the next break for international commitments, after the games with AS Roma (for the Champions League) and Aston Villa (for the English championship).

In fact, in the area of rapid interviews of the British television station TNT Sports, Portuguese successor Ruben Amorim (who is currently at the helm of AC Milan) was asked if he was to guide the team next Tuesday in Old Trafford, and answered in a permanent manner: “Yes (...). Now, I’m just looking forward to preparing the boys for the mid-week game.”.

Bruno Fernandes on the verge of tears

Bruno Fernandes returned to the initial eleven, after being ‘punished’, the previous weekend (in the heavy defeat suffered at the Bournemouth reception, 0-3), for having publicly appointed Michael Carrick as the main culprit for the loss suffered in the visit to Como, for the Champions League, by 4-1.

The Portuguese international hung the captain's armband and lined it up during the 90 minutes, but did not sign a happy exhibition at all. Still, when the English referee Peter Banks sounded the final whistle, he made a point of addressing Manchester United fans, thanking them for the way they supported the team at Stamford Bridge.

The television cameras also captured images that showed him visibly emotional, and later, when he appeared before the journalists, the coach himself applauded his attitude: “ Bruno is a great player. He gives us many things, you know, with his experience.”.

“ He's been through a lot here, and he's achieved a lot. He demonstrated what he can add to the team, so it's an important part of the team for us, and I think he's had a good balance today. We have a good team, and the boys are eager to move on,” he said.

Fans ‘turn’ against Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazers

This time, the anger of Manchester United fans was directed, above all, at the owners of the club, so, over the 90 minutes, it was possible to hear songs such as ‘As the Glazers, Jim Ratcliffe is a co***’, ‘Send your new stadium up the c*’ or ‘Sale Manchester United and get home’.
