O PCP will propose the repeal of the toll charge in the old SCUT of the district of Porto, in the discussion in the specialty of the State Budget (OE), an “injustice” that the Porto Regional Organization (DORP) Directorate regrets.
“ The parliamentary group of the PCP will not fail to intervene, once again, on the subject and will present, in the discussion in the specialty, a proposal to repeal the charging of tolls in the former SCUT of the district of Porto ", can be read in a statement today released by DORP of the party.
For the Communists, this situation represents “injustice and discrimination of the region”, denouncing the two porticos of A4 in Matosinhos, two others in the A28 in Vila do Conde and Póvoa de Varzim, the A29 in Vila Nova de Gaia, the External Regional Circular of Porto (A41) and the A42.
“ These roads were transformed into routes with costs for users as early as 2010, inserted in a business of unclear contours, that of the PPP [public-private partnerships] that, in practice, made and make populations hostage of the excessive profit of concessionaires ", criticize.
The CFP also points out an intensification of opposition “over the past few months”, by mayors and various parties, so the “increasing consensus in the refusal of this injustice in the region” leads them to require revocation in the specialty.
