A Philips recorded a net profit of EUR 560 million between January and September, an increase of 12% compared to the same period of the previous year, the electronics company reported today.

Global sales of the company declined from 12,736 million between January and September 2025 to 12,658 million in the first nine months of this year.

On the other hand, the gross operating result (EBITDA) grew by 9.4%, reaching EUR 2.250 million.

In the third quarter, the company’s net profit fell from 15% to EUR 28 million, impacted by expenditure on restructuring, acquisition and other items that reached EUR 353 million, almost three times as much as in the previous year.

Among these expenses, there is the provision of 288 million relating to the agreement with the United States Department of Justice, although formalization still has to be confirmed and payment expected to be made in the first quarter of 2027.

The company established a preliminary agreement between the Respironics subsidiary and the US Department of Justice to “resolve criminal and civil investigations” initiated in 2021 and which led to the withdrawal of millions of devices and devices for sleep apnea.

Between July and September, Philips' EBITDA rose by 4.6% from EUR 738 million in 2025 to EUR 772 million this year.

On 30 September Philips recorded a total of 6,985 million euro in long-term debt and another 1,154 million in short-term debt.

These results, together with the “solid flow of orders”, allow the company to confirm the forecasts for this year and “achieve the medium-term objectives,” Philips’ executive president Roy Jakobs said.
