Xbox reveals plans for “family of devices” in the next generation
Microsoft video game division manager Asha Sharma addressed the company’s employees at a meeting last Tuesday, day 6, where she talked about the next generation of Xbox consoles – currently known as Project Helix.
It tells the Windows Central website that, at this meeting, Sharma said that the next generation of Microsoft consoles will not be made up of just one or even two devices but one “family of devices”.
Sharma did not share details about these new devices, but hinted that some of them may be portable consoles that allow users to continue to throw even away.
“ We will move to a family of devices in the next generation”He will have said Sharma. “There is not a single device that is right for everyone. We will certainly have a great console first, but we also know that many players will be on the move.”.
In addition to advancing that the next generation of Xbox will be made up of multiple devices, the CEO also confirmed that some of them may be produced in partnership with other manufacturers, similar to what happened to Asus in the launch of the Xbox Ally ROG laptop.
“There are some things in which we are the best in the world to produce and there are other things in which we will partner. We share more as our plans develop. The operating system seems to be starting to get pretty good. We are very excited about this”, said Sharma.
