“ ANDm only a year and a half, [since the implementation] of the ‘First Persons’, face-to-face social security care reduced 16%,” said the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, at the opening session of the “Social Connect” conference, which takes place today at the Lisbon Congress Center.
According to the governor, this means that four million visits “were resolved in the digital channel”, thus allowing “to preserve physical care for cases in which the complexity of the process requires it”, as well as for cases in which the vulnerability of people makes face-to-face care more advisable.
Rosário Palma Ramalho also pointed out that the modernisation of social security payments, including through the introduction of virtual IBAN or MB Way, made it possible to carry out 1.4 million operations.
Recalling that in the context of the digital transformation of Social Security, new social benefit simulators have also been created, the Minister has shown that they already total more than three million uses.
“ We approached the services, applied the AI, reaching the mark of the 80 thousand accumulated virtual services ", detailed.
