The President of the Republic requested detailed information from the Government and the Ombudsman's office on what happened at the demonstrations in Lisbon and Porto this morning, including the situation of the detainees and wounded.

O President of the Republic requested information “in full detail” to the Government and Ombudsman’s Office, about what happened this morning in demonstrations for housing in Lisbon and Porto and about the situation of the detainees and wounded.
According to official source of the Presidency of the Republic, António José Seguro “requested information and clarification, in all detail, about what happened this morning in the demonstrations in Lisbon and Porto and what is happening with the protesters arrested and with all the people injured”.
The information was requested from the Government and the Ombudsman, taking into account the follow-up by the Prevention Mechanism.
In the early hours of today, the PSP's intervention body moved almost simultaneously, at 4:30 p.m., on the protesters concentrated in the camps for housing in Lisbon and Porto to demobilize, with batonadas and several arrests.
