Um year after the proposal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez married. The couple said “yes”, or the famous “siuuuu” – in the style of CR7, on Tuesday, August 11, in Cascais.
The link will have taken place, according to a statement by the Brunswick Group, at a civil ceremony of “intimate and private character”, having counted only the five children of the couple as guests and witnesses of this moment.
The awaited marriage today leads us to remember how it began and all the ups and downs that have already passed the relationship of CR7 and Georgina Rodríguez.
The beginning of dating at a Gucci store
It was as sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid that Georgina Rodríguez met Cristiano Ronaldo. It was the year 2016.
After they crossed eyes and talked, they began to have regular meetings and CR7 even took her to work on her luxury cars.
“ My colleagues would arrive by bus and I would get out of a Bugatti. People couldn’t believe it,” said Georgina in the Netflix documentary ‘I Am Georgina’, where she recalled the beginning of the relationship and the times when her partner would pick her up and take her to the store where she worked.
The iconic trip to Disneyland with Ronaldo in disguise
It was in November 2016 that Ronaldo and Georgina were photographed together for the first time. The Portuguese player appeared in a wig, hat and sunglasses, strolling alongside Georgina Rodríguez at the Disneyland theme park in Paris.

The first public appearance as a couple

The arrival of twin children

The first child in common
Living an intense passion and no time to lose, it was in July 2017 that the couple announced that Georgina was pregnant with the first child in common between them.
Alana Martina, a girl, was born on November 12, 2017.
Georgina's differences with Ronaldo's family?
One of the great ‘bottoms’ of the relationship may be Georgina's allegedly troubled relationship with her partner's family.
Dolores Aveiro was very close to his son until Georgina appeared, but when the model moved to live with Ronaldo the circumstances changed. Gio, as is known, assumed the role of a woman of the house and mother of the children of CR7, leading to the removal of Dolores.
When Ronaldo went to Italy to play at Juventus, the Matriarch of the Aveiro family stopped living with his son, as was the case until then in Madrid, and walked away definitively to let the couple have their privacy.

The painful death of one of the children
In April 2022 Ronaldo and Georgina had the lowest point of the relationship until then. Pregnant with twins, Georgina Rodríguez saw one of her children die during childbirth.
The model was expecting a couple of twins, but one of the male babies they named Ángel didn't make it. The sister, Bella Esmeralda, is the youngest of the five children of Cristiano Ronaldo and the second shoot in common with Georgina.
The awaited proposal
Eight years after the beginning of the relationship and nine years after they met, the awaited marriage proposal arrived. For years there was much speculation about the possibility that Georgina had already been asked to marry, the rumors appeared whenever the model appeared with a new diamond ring but the truth is that only now CR7 knelt to make the request.
It was through social networks that Gio announced the novelty. “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives”, he said.
To his words, Georgina put together a photograph in which she boasts the huge diamond ring – which by grandeur is distinguished from all the others she has ever worn before.
