A news agency EFE describes that the operation, which began at 08:00, involves eight teams from the Disorder Control Unit (UIP) with the support of other police units, such as the Rapid Response Unit (UPR), the Crime Combat Group (GAC), Immigration and the Air Unit.
Among the equipment mobilized are two armored vehicles and one High Mobility Tactical Vehicle, all used by UIP.
According to the Directorate-General of Police, migrants are being taken to the Temporary Foreign Detention Center (CATE).
In the case of minors, these procedures are being carried out at the police headquarters, from which they are transferred to temporary accommodation.
On the other hand, the Europa Press agency reports that the National Police is escorting buses full of migrants and some have chosen to remain in the CATE to be registered and subsequently welcomed, while others prefer to return to Morocco on foot and voluntarily.
Neither the police nor the government have yet released data on the number of migrants who boarded buses or what percentage is returning or staying in the CATE.
The operation also has the collaboration of the Civil Guard, which mobilized divers and three vessels in case some migrant tries to swim away, and the Local Police, responsible for traffic control at the entrances of Trampolín Beach.
The General Command of Ceuta was also mobilized, establishing a second security line with military personnel.
This transfer was made possible thanks to the availability of vacancies in the facilities provided by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, as well as the need to house migrants in a place protected from rain and unhealthy conditions.
It is also a question of safeguarding public order and the legality of the situation, a statement published today.
Europe Press describes, based on reports from police sources, that the Loma Colmenar reception centre has between 300 and 400 seats after the tents are enlarged.
The most recent facility the government is working on is that of Caballería, which on Saturday was still in the process of completion.
The coordinator of the unified crisis command and Minister of Territorial Policy, Ángel Víctor Torres, announced in a press conference that the Caballeria camp would be exclusively for women.
And the government announced days ago that the next camp you will be working on will be located in an open area near the Fuerte Mendizábal Penitentiary Center, where preparation work has not yet begun.
The capacity is unknown.
The city authorities of Ceuta are collaborating with logistical resources and cleaning services.
