Diego Miranda had already performed on the first weekend of the festival last Saturday on the Celestia stage, and is now scheduled to return on Sunday between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. on a larger stage, The Great Library, according to the alignment of Tomorrowland.

DJ Diego Miranda is the Portuguese artist with the most participations in this which is one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world.

This will be the only Portuguese artist to perform on the second weekend of the festival, after the first one had the participation of DJ such as BIIA, ØTTA, Xinobi, Danni Gato and MXGPU, among other Portuguese artists.

In addition, the Portuguese fadista Marta Rosa participates, in this edition of the electronic music festival Tomorrowland, in the orchestra created by the organizers and in the final spectacle of each day.

More than 200,000 visitors went through the first weekend of Tomorrowland, which had hundreds of artists distributed across 16 stages, numbers that will be repeated in this second and last edition of this year, held under the concept of “Conscience”.

In statements to the Lusa agency, the festival spokesperson, Debby Wilmsen, considered that the first weekend of the festival was “a great success”, having received “thousands of people from all over the world” and recorded a “really exceptional” environment.

“The weekend took place without incidents worthy of note,” said the responsible, speaking in a “quiet and safe” edition.

However, the organization confirmed that two works of art related to this year’s theme — love and desire emotions — were taken from one of the festival’s restaurants.

“ The good news is that the work ‘love’ has already been returned. A couple delivered the work and we are grateful for its honesty, but the second work, ‘desire’, has not yet been recovered,” Debby Wilmsen explained to Lusa.

Under the concept “Conscience”, the festival takes place this weekend in the De Schorre enclosure in Boom, after having started the previous one.

The theme of this edition is inspired by the idea that human emotions are at the origin of the connection between people and the world, exploring six feelings – wonder, love, anger, joy, desire and sadness – through a visual and immersive universe that shapes the scenography and the stages of the festival.

Created in 2005 by the Belgian brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, Tomorrowland became a world reference for electronic music.

After the interruption caused by the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the festival again expects some 200,000 visitors per weekend from more than 200 countries.

Tickets for this year's edition ran out several months ago.
