A exhibition outdoors luminica, whose creative direction falls to Nuno Maya and was created with the team of the park and the production of the workshop OCUBO, has as theme “the relationship between light and darkness, revealing a landscape in permanent transformation”, can be read in the presentation material of the show.
“ Throughout the night, the nature, architecture and elements of the Park become the scene of a dialogue between the visible and the invisible, the presence and the mystery, inviting visitors to discover new ways to feel and experience this place”, says the organization, in the promotional material at Serralves site.
The route is unprecedented for the fourth edition and has about two kilometres, integrating 20 artistic installations of light created from the root, with interactive components and sound and visual effects, having as novelty new musical creations for this show.
“ This experience is enriched by an original sound dimension, designed especially for the journey. Seven Portuguese musicians of reference – Francisco Rebelo, Gonçalo Garcia dos Santos, Inospita, Maria João, Noiserv, Pedro Antunes and Rodrigo Leão – created novel compositions that accompany different installations, exploring the dialogue between sound and silence”, adds Serralves.
The exhibition can be seen at night, in Serralves, at various times and from Wednesday to Sunday, starting next Thursday and going until August 10, at 22:00.
Between August 11 and the end of this month, it will be presented at 21:30; from September 1st to 14th, at 9:00 p.m.; from September 15th to October 5th, at 8:30 p.m. and then until the end on November 8th, at 8:00 p.m., following the gradual decrease in daytime hours through the summer, until after the autumn equinox.
